HEAT CYCLING AND
ELECTRONIC “SCRUBBING”
OF BOTH COMPETITION AND ROAD PERFORMANCE TYRE

Up until early last year, our market was purely one of heating race tyres prior to the car/bike going onto the track – as an alternative to the old fashioned tyre blankets and heat-tents. There are though only a couple of formulas – mostly bikes – where heating of tyres at the track is not banned, but where they are allowed we offer teams tremendous flexibility and consistency.

Last year though saw a huge new market potential for our system and one which dwarfed the initial motor sport potential of  simply heating tyres.

A major US tyre manufacturer invited us to do back to back tests in America, where they could compare tyres which had been “scrubbed” traditionally at the track, with similar tyres, which had been ZAPPED in our system. They believed that we could offer drivers exactly the same benefits using our machine, as they could by “scrubbing” at the track… plus we would be cheaper and far more reliable. The results proved that we gave BETTER results than the “scrubbed” ones…and a totally new motor sport opportunity opened up!!

Before we left the States, it was also muted by the tyre manufacturer that we could actually provide the same benefits to normal road performance car/bike tyres, as we did for competition tyres. If this was the case then not only had a new market opened up but that this one had huge potential… globally.

During the Summer and Autumn of 2009 we again did back to back  testing but this time in the UK, with two very well known tyre manufacturers at the famous MIRA circuit in the Midlands……. using a standard Jaguar saloon and a BMW M3 on normal road performance tyres.

Once again the results were staggering and both test drivers were very excited at the benefits they actually felt whilst using the ZAPPED tyres… better handling, better grip, better feel, better comfort, better performance and… better longevity!!

More tests are currently being held in Spain and France over the coming months and other tyre manufacturers are planning their own tests – plus - our Major Distributors throughout the World are instigating similar ones with their clients.
